Most HMSPANEL installs should always have the latest versions of PHP. It is installed via YUM with the install process. So you can upgrade your current version with yum but of course the configuration files need to be preserved. PHP on some HMSPANEL installs is compiled via source, which would be CentOS, RHEL and some versions of Fedora. Some of the 64-bit installs of HMSPANEL, and later versions of Fedora are using YUM to install PHP.

There is no reason to run the absolute latest version of PHP, etc. They are all very close to the latest.

I would like to run the latest PHP version on my HMSPANEL server. Should I worry about this right now or am I fine with my current version? I an runnning CentOS 5.4 64 bit. Thanks!
